In my Nia classes, we play, connect, express, explore and dance to bring a deeper appreciation for who we are and the life we are living.  You're invited to bring your unique, vulnerable, powerful self to experience more connection to your body, your mind, and that which makes you uniquely you (your Spirit), and to celebrate that connection in yourself and others.    

It's a whole lot of fun, through a whole lot of purposeful movement.

The motivation to move is found in the life movement brings.

A nutritious, feel-good movement and lifestyle practice,  Nia encourages the connection to our own potential to live a healthy and meaningful life.   Moves are infused with the power and precision of the martial arts, the expression and fun of the dance arts, and the mindfulness of the healing arts. 


Using sensation as our guide, we deepen the listening to our own body's way and find pleasure in the way we're moving.   Whether we're punching, kicking, twirling or shimmying, Nia invites us to bring the uniqueness of  who we are - and the body we live in - to our moves.  Designed to be a sustainable practice for life-long health and wellness, Nia is non-impact and adaptable to individual needs and abilities.    Using unique combinations of 52 moves, we follow  Nia's 7 cycles  to condition the body,  focus the mind and create balance that leaves us feeling energized and calm.  


Suitable for all levels of fitness, Nia is adaptable and meets you wherever you're at.   The important thing is to get yourself moving and know that it's through the dynamic movement in your life (physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually) that you will connect yourself to your own vitality and wellness.
